Yahoo! Music Daily Video Premieres: Jack Johnson, A Monkey, and Some Synergy

Call me a big synergy geek. I like taking the most irresistible content from Yahoo! Music and spreading the love all over Yahoo!. I dream of worldwide domination for the best of the best music content. I think I work at the right place for that.

Case in point: the joy and rapture I feel over having premiered barefoot surf rocker Jack Johnson’s latest video for “Upside Down”. What makes this video completely irresistible (since Jack is known for somewhat lame videos for the most part) is the addition of Curious George to this video. That’s right, Jack is so rad that he gets to chill and amuse Curious G. and his friends. As a guy co-worker said, “Great, it’s not enough that all the hot surfer chicks love him, now he’s conquering all females.” Even our straight up old school R & B mama was all about this one.

But we’re not just showing this on Yahoo! Music. That lil monkey and Curious G. too got onto Yahooligans! (* soccer moms can use their kids as an excuse for this one), and Movies (* hot hot hot). Yahoo! Canada and Yahoo! US homepages both flipped for “Upside Down”. Not only were Jack and George stoked on this, but this pleased me (and my quest for worldwide domination) very much.

In other video news, my favorite video premiere this week was for the Latin crooner, Luis Fonsi. The video is called “Por Una Mujer” and features Luis the player getting played out in a hilarious way. Some of you may recognize Luis’ name because he’s like totally BFF with Joey Fatone formerly of *NSync. But don’t get me started on how much I love Joey because this blog entry is all about videos, and we all know there isn’t a new *NSync video (damn).
