Yahoo! Music Engine Toolbar for IE

IE users (come on, I know there are a few of you, still),

Check out the Yahoo! Toolbar for IE:

It allows you to control Yahoo! Music Engine from the IE Yahoo! Toolbar.  Firefox users: note that this page will install Toolbar for you, but the Firefox version doesn’t contain the Y! Music Engine integration.  If someone wants to build a Firefox plugin and share the source, that’d be swell.

Why You Should (or Shouldn’t) Use the Yahoo! Music Engine

Back in May when Yahoo! Music Engine and Yahoo! Music Unlimited were first released to the public, I wrote a long and opinionated blog post on my Web site entitled “Why You Should (or Shouldn’t) use the Yahoo! Music Engine. It made the rounds and many people were kind enough to take time and comment on it. I was on a panel with someone from Google a couple weeks ago and he admitted that he read it. It was, in many ways, the inside scoop — the unofficial press release.

Since this site really is meant to have the same purpose — to provide a venue for the passionate folks working at Yahoo! Music to share their thoughts, advice, updates, news, recipes, etc on the products we’re building, I thought it appropriate to start this blog with a link to that original post.
